LEWES TAI CHI SCHOOL OF CENTRAL EQUILIBRIUM
Terms & Conditions
(for Tai Chi Classes and Private One-to-One Training)
1. General
By booking a class, block, or private session, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These terms help make sure everyone is clear about how bookings work.
Updates may be made from time to time, and the most recent version will always be available here.
2. Group Classes (Half-Term Blocks)
Group classes run in half-term blocks (usually 5–7 weeks, in line with school dates).
Booking a block reserves your place for all scheduled dates in that half-term.
Your booking is for the block as a whole, not for individual sessions.
Missed classes cannot be refunded, credited, or rolled over to a future term.
Bookings are non-transferable (you cannot pass your place to someone else).
Drop-in spaces may be offered at the advertised rate if room allows, but are not guaranteed.
Drop-in bookings are only available during published term dates and subject to space.
Kickstarter offers are a welcome for newcomers, apply to Beginners only, and can be used for up to two half-terms per student.
3. Private One-to-One Training
Private sessions are held at the clinic (via Sun Street, Lewes).
You can book single sessions or a discounted block of four.
All sessions must be prepaid at the time of booking.
Block bookings are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase and for one person only.
Cancellations or rescheduling require 24 hours’ notice. Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, will be charged in full.
Block bookings are non-transferable.
4. Payments
All payments are taken securely through our booking system provider.
Prices are in GBP.
A booking is confirmed only once payment has been received.
5. Refund Policy
Refunds are not given for missed classes, late cancellations, or unused sessions.
In exceptional cases (for example, illness or medical reasons), a refund or credit may be considered at our discretion.
If we have to cancel a class or private session, you will be offered either a rescheduled date or a refund.
6. Health & Safety
Tai Chi is a gentle practice, but like any exercise it may not be suitable for everyone.
Please check with your doctor before starting if you have any concerns about your health or if you are managing a medical condition.
Your wellbeing is important, but participation is ultimately your responsibility. We cannot accept liability for injuries or health issues that arise, unless caused by negligence.
7. Data Protection
Personal details collected during booking are kept secure and used only for managing your classes or sessions.
We never share your information with third parties, except as required by law.
You can request the removal of your personal data at any time by contacting us.
